Feb 17, 2016·Swan Soap was first made in 1941 by Lever Brothers Company. The company commissioned artists Louise Rumely and Albert Staehle to create a series of pictures of babies and swans to use in its ads. It’s reported that Rumely drew the babies and Staehle drew the swans. The pictures were used in magazine ads in 1942. There are three different prints.
